Louth Transformer Co. Ltd. was founded almost 50 years ago by Mr. Kevin Mead and since then has brought together a loyal team of diligent staff with a wealth of experience.

The company operates from a 1.25 acre site situated on a large industrial estate in the Lincolnshire Wolds market town of Louth.

Computerised winding machines and extensive modern facilities enable us to manufacture transformers in the power range 1.0VA to 100kVA, utilising copper winding wire from 0.04mm in diameter to sectional wire in excess of 100 sq. mm.

In addition to our vast range of 430 types held in stock for immediate delivery, we are also able to manufacture to customer specification in the same power range, often for delivery in one week, or sometimes less if required.

We pride ourselves on giving immediate telephone quotations, technical assistance, and after sales help that we know, by the comments from our customers, is very much appreciated and appears to be quite unique to Louth Transformers.

Kevin Mead

Kevin started working in the transformer industry after leaving school at age 16 and soon began to develop his skills and passion for the work.

He then founded the Louth Transformer Company in 1976, and to this day is still our current Managing Director.

Possibly one of the most experienced transformer designers in the UK with over 60 years in the industry, Kevin has built Louth Transformer Co. on a foundation of trust, expertise, and excellent customer service.
